We have an all Ladies “trip of a lifetime” put together so all you need to do is show up and have fun! Eight days around the state with a group of other lady riders and an all women staff.

On this all paved route, totaling about 1200 miles, we will see more of Alaska than many Alaskans. We average about 250 miles a day so you can take your time and enjoy the sights. Maps are provided daily so you can feel comfortable riding with the group or on your own.

There is a 12-passenger van along for your comforts were we will carry all your luggage, snacks and refreshments. Upon our arrival at the hotel/lodge each night we can gather for dinner at some of Alaska’s finest restaurants.

Leaving Chena Hot Springs Springs Resort Jen gives me the thumbs up!

Itinerary:

Day 1 Friday, June 26th, 2009
Arrive Anchorage by this day please.
We will have our welcome dinner this night at a premier Anchorage restaurant. We will be available for airport pickup from 8 am to 6 pm.

Day 2 Saturday, June 27th, 2009
Anchorage to Talkeetna; about 120 miles
Get the bikes, load the van and head north. We will spend the night in the quaint town of Talkeetna where we will have a fantastic dinner and have time to check out the local flavor in this historic town.

 Day 3 Sunday, June 28th, 2009
Talkeetna to Fairbanks about 272 miles
Today we will ride past Mt. McKinley, North America’s tallest peak. Stop for lunch at Denali Park where you can ride the first 20 miles into the park. Continue north to Fairbanks where we will have luxurious accommodations and a super dinner.

Day 4 Monday, June 29th, 2009
Fairbanks to Chena Hot Springs about 60 miles.
We have a short day today so you can visit the sights in Fairbanks (University Museum, Pioneer Park, historic downtown) and get in early at Chena Hot Springs so we can hit the Ice Museum, Hot Springs, a massage or many other activities.

Sweeping corners near Paxson.

Day 5 Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
Chena Hot Springs to Paxson about 200 miles
After visiting the town of North Pole we will continue south on the Richardson Highway through stunning river deltas and remarkable Isabel Pass. The scenery is abundant and after a great days ride we will stop for the night at the remote Tangle River Inn. Here you will have silent nights and magical views with all the comforts of home, one of the favorite stops of the tour.

Day 6 Wednesday, July 1st, 2009
Paxson to Valdez about 200 miles
A world class ride into Valdez with more spectacular views of glaciers, waterfalls, mountains and picture perfect vistas. We will stop at Worthington Glacier where you can walk right up on the glacier. As we ride through Thompson Pass and Keystone Canyon there will be many stops for endless photo opportunities.  We will stay in the heart of Valdez, right on the harbor, where you can watch the fishing boats arrive with their daily catch and chat with the locals about life in Valdez.

Day 7 Thursday, July 2nd, 2009
Rest day in Valdez
Take the day to see Valdez however you want. Glacier cruises are popular and can offer a new vantage point to Alaska as you may see glaciers calving, whales breaching and bald eagles soaring. This has been a favorite excursion for many of the ladies. Other activities include sea kayaking, fishing charters, flight seeing, hiking, shopping, and other motorcycle rides in the area.

Day 8 Friday, July 3rd, 2009
Valdez to Majestic Valley Lodge about 190 miles
Leaving Valdez is just as amazing! We climb Thompson Pass gaining 2000 feet in elevation in
less than 4 miles and ride past Worthington Glacier. Our lodge for the night is located on the Glenn Highway remotely located about 70 miles from the nearest grocery store. Here we will dine on a gourmet dinner while we bask in the mountain views and sip adult beverages from the wrap around porch at the lodge.

Day 9 Saturday, July 4th, 2009
Majestic Valley Lodge to Anchorage about 130 miles.
Enjoy a fabulous breakfast at the lodge and head back to Anchorage. We will pass Matanuska Glacier and stop at the Musk Ox farm where you can see the animals up close. Information center about the animals and gift shop too. Arrive in Anchorage, check into the hotel and gather for our farewell dinner at another premier Anchorage restaurant.
