Information:
Visa: You will need a VISA.
Visa upon arrival is available at the airport as well as many land borders.
The fee (US) is $30 at the moment and you need to provide one passport photo
with your application. Thai Baht is also accepted but the exchange rate is
poor. Visa fees may rise this year again but this is the current
information. Upon arrival, you are issued a 30 day tourist visa for your
stay in Laos. A visa before arrival is good, saves time waiting at the
airport or bridge.
*Bring at least 2 passport photos with you!

Travel: Get to Vientiane, the Capital City of Laos. There are flights through Bankok. You may need to spend the night there. Recommended Hotels:
“There is a beautiful Novotel hotel right by the airport in Bangkok
called the Novotel Suvarnabhum and it starts at about $136/night which
is not cheap by Thai standards but it is a beautiful hotel and they do
the airport transfers. If they end up in downtown Bangkok, the Sheraton
Royal Orchid is really nice, reasonable and on the river.” Sally Huntley, our travel agent.
