Join this incredible ride to the top of the continent. From Anchorage to the Arctic Ocean and back is the goal. In addition to the adventurous Dalton Highway we will also enjoy 2 days of incredible riding on the spectacular Denali Highway.
The 1885-mile route is 60% paved and 40% dirt/gravel. We will be staying at hotels, remote lodges and rugged work camps (that’s all they have in Deadhorse!).See stunning scenery and wildlife. Meet colorful “sourdough” locals. Visit Denali National Park. With our experienced guides and Jethro (our custom support truck) the bikes, logistics and luggage will be taken care of allowing you to concentrate on your Alaskan Adventure of a lifetime.

Warning: This is not a normal motorcycle ride. This is an adventure. This ride is not for wimps. This tour requires elements of endurance and stamina. Riders must be able to ride in adverse weather conditions and adverse road conditions. These roads are some of the roughest and most remote in the world. Rider must be physically fit, mentally strong, and able to cope with adversity. The accommodations on this trip range from luxurious to spartan. Do not expect red carpet to be rolled out above the Arctic Circle! Be ready for a true adventure!

Itinerary:
Day 1: Friday, July 31st
Anchorage
Please arrive in Anchorage by mid-afternoon. Hotel check-in. Welcome Dinner at one of the finest restaurants in Alaska. Stay in Anchorage.
Day 2: Saturday, August 1st
Anchorage to Fairbanks- 362 total miles
Ride through the Alaska Range, and cross the famous Denali Fault, this will be our longest day of riding. You will have a chance of seeing North America's tallest peak: Mt. McKinley. Stay in Fairbanks.
Day 3: Sunday, August 2nd
Fairbanks to Coldfoot- 259 miles
Ride the famous Dalton Highway a.k.a. “Haul Road”. Head north to cross the giant Yukon River. And continue north across the Arctic Circle. Keep your eyes open for wildlife! Stay in Coldfoot.

Day 4: Monday, August 3rd
Coldfoot to Deadhorse- 239 miles (200 miles dirt)
Still going north, we will cross the Brooks Range. Be sure to watch for dall sheep on the cliffs of the mountains. Once north of the Brooks Range we are on the North Slope and we enter the realm of the Arctic tundra eco-system full of unique vegetation and animals like caribou and musk ox. You may even see the occasional Grizzly Bear out on the tundra eating berries or chasing ground squirrels. Stay in Deadhorse.
*Deadhorse is the small industrial town, which supports the oil exploration at Prudhoe Bay. It is located a few miles from Prudhoe Bay and the Arctic Ocean. To gain access to the ocean, one is required to take an authorized tour. (Security in the area is high due to terrorist threat to the oil infrastructure in Prudhoe Bay.) The cost of the tour is $37 per person. We may take the tour the morning of the 4th. Bring a swimsuit, and prepare to join the Polar Bear Club!
Day 5: Tuesday, August 4th
Deadhorse to Coldfoot- 239 miles (200 miles dirt)
On the road again, we will be riding from the most northerly point on the road system in North America. Another chance to see Dall sheep on the cliffs. Remember to keep an eye out for Grizzlies too. Stay in Coldfoot.
Day 6: Wednesday, August 5th
Coldfoot to Chatanika- 269 miles
Ride back down the Dalton Highway with a new perspective. Heading south we will cross the giant Yukon River again. Keep your eyes open for wildlife! Experience the joy of riding on pavement again! Check out an old gold dredge and stay the night in Chatinika.


Day 7: Thursday, August 6th
Chatanika to Paxson Area (195 miles)
Ride through the Alaska Range at stunning Isabel Pass. Enjoy spectacular scenery while riding the paved Richardson Highway. Stay in Paxson Area at one of our favorite remote Alaskan lodges.
Day 8: Friday, August 7th
Paxson area to Cantwell- Denali Highway- (125 miles dirt)
Today is our day to ride the dirt! The Denali Highway offers dramatic sweeping views of the Alaska Range with its looming peaks and scenic glaciers. Once in Cantwell riders can visit Denali National Park before savoring a Gourmet 4-star dinner.
Day 9: Saturday, August 8th
Cantwell to Anchorage- (225 miles)
One last chance to see Mt. McKinley from the Parks Highway. Optional side trips are available on the ride back to Anchorage if the weather and time allow Stay in Anchorage. Farewell Dinner out on the town at one of Alaska's most premier restaurants!

Please note that meals and fuel are not included in the tour price. We recommend that you budget about $100.00 per day for food and fuel (this is just an estimate of expenses and is not including adult beverages.) Many places in Alaska accept Visa and MasterCard but it would be wise to have some cash on hand in case there are problems at remote lodges.
Additional motorcycle liability reduction:
Optional Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) for bike damage is $25.00 per riding day (cost not to exceed $300). When you purchase this agreement, you will be responsible for the first $2,000 of bike damages. If you decline this option you are responsible for all expenses. (Please note that the LDW does not cover personal property damage or bodily injury.) We recommend that you contact your motorcycle insurance carrier to see if you are covered for rental motorcycles.

Tours
We offer exceptional tours focusing on different areas of the world for different comfort levels. All tours include airport pick-up/drop-off, motorcycle rental, guides, support vehicle, mechanical support, welcome and farewell dinners, video of tour, detailed itinerary/maps packet, MotoQuest “swag bag” and a high staff-to-guest ratio, insuring the best personal service possible. Everyday there is a hot shower, great food, and a comfortable bed waiting for you at the end of the trail.
Tour Size
6 - 10 riders. We have a large staff-to-guest ratio. This way your adventure is personalized and safety is maximized.
Gear
Bring riding gear that is warm and waterproof (a riding suit with pads is best). Recommended items to bring: Stout water-proof boots, rain gear, a warm hat, rain-proof gloves (2 pair), hiking shoes, bug spray, full-faced helmet, swim suit, and a good camera are the things you need on the trail.
Our Staff
We pride ourselves in giving you quality service. All staff are experienced riders, trained in first aid, and love sharing motorcycling. Since many of the roads we travel are far from help and out of cell phone range, our expertise in motorcycle maintenance, backcountry first aid, and knowledge of out-of-the-way places will greatly enhance your motorcycle tour. Our guides carry satellite phones for emergency use. The full-time support vehicle makes it possible for you to focus on the ride, the fresh air and the scenery. Leave the logistics to us!
Payment
At the time of reservation $1000 deposit is due to guarantee your spot on the tour. The deposit will be applied to the total price of the tour. The balance is due 60 days prior to tour departure date. We accept personal checks, Visa, MasterCard and money orders (sorry, we do not accept American Express or Discover).
Register Online
Cancellation Policy
You must give a full 60 days notice to receive a refund for a tour. On cancellations with less than 60 days notice, your deposit is forfeited as a cancellation fee and the remaining balance paid can be transferred to another party or another tour, subject to availability. Cancellations with less than 30 days notice, will forfeit 50% of total tour price as cancellation fee and the remaining balance paid can be transferred to another party or another tour, subject to availability. If your participation in the tour is terminated for any reason at anytime during the tour, no refund will be given.
Kitty
Riders will be asked to put money into a kitty at the beginning of the tour, to be used by the group as a whole for gas and other group-oriented activites such as lunches, dinners, park entry fees, water stops, etc. Voluntary participation in this system has proven to make group riding run smoother and ultimately make your tour with us more pleasurable!
